Prof. Reza Arghandeh
Hello, welcome to Ci2Lab!
I am Dr. Reza Arghandeh, the director of CI2 Lab. I am a Full Professor in the Department of Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, and Mathematical Sciences at the Western Norway University of Applied Sciences (HVL), Bergen, Norway. I am also a Lead data Scientist with StormGeo company. Moreover, I have a Research Professor title in the Electrical and Computer Department at Florida State University, USA, where I was an assistant professor from 2015 to 2018. Prior to FSU, I was a postdoctoral scholar at the University of California, Berkeley, EECS Dept 2013-2015. I completed my Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering with a specialization in Power Systems at Virginia Tech. I hold Master’s degrees in Industrial and System Engineering from Virginia Tech (2013) and in Energy Systems from the University of Manchester (2008).
My research has been supported so far by U.S. National Science Foundation, U.S. Department of Energy, the European Space Agency, the European Commission, and the Research Council of Norway.
Whenever not working, I am somewhere in fjords or fjells!
